During the unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, students across the world are facing mental health impacts. This project aims to explore the challenges specifically of high school students during this time through the use of journalism. Using research from accredited sources and numerous interviews, this is the story of high school students and how they are coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. The main subject was interviewed on a weekly basis, and additional interviews were conducted to solidify information. Major findings include: the relationship between structure and anxiety, challenges of e-learning and social distancing’s impact on loneliness. The work relies on the principles of journalism. It tells the story of students during this moment in history — a story that might not otherwise have been told.
