A study of intelligibility and quality ratings of speech handicapped children

For this study, recordings of the speech of children attending the 1953 Summer Speech Rehabilitation Center at Northern Illinois State Teachers College were made before and after a six-weeks training session. These recording© were used for an analysis of progress in speech proficiency. Included In this study is a suggested recording procedure for the speech evaluation of speech handicapped children.
