This is a paper for my research project on noncontact liquid level detection using Ultrasonic Transducers. This project will explore the details about use of ultrasonic transducers for detecting liquid level of a container. As a part of project for non-contact liquid level detection using Ultrasonic Transducers, I have considered a cylindrical plexy container and a piezoelectric which is made to vibrate at a frequency of 20MHz (Ultrasonic Sound Wave). Our aim is to send the ultrasonic waves into the container and see how it behaves in different cases with different liquid levels, open container, container with different dimensions and thickness. These different observations gave us a predefined approach in detecting the exact liquid level. Based on these observations an approximate approach in detecting the liquid level with automated approach has been proposed in this paper for avoiding the overflow of the liquid.;Research has been carried out in two different approaches, one being with the hardware approach and the other as simulation. Results were compared in two different approaches. Simulation was carried out in COMSOL multiphysics software. Later part of the project is carried out by automating the system. Automation includes an amplifier and rectifier circuits which helps in overflow of the container and monitor the liquid level in a container.
