The analysis of the demand of an e-commerce programs in the MBA curriculum

Despite the recession in the economy, E-Commerce continues to grow. The Business schools are capitalizing on this demand and are integrating E-Commerce programs into their MBA curriculum. This paper focuses on the analysis of the demand of an E-Commerce program in the MBA curriculum and studies this demand at Northern Illinois University. This paper also examines the implementation of E-Commerce programs at other universities. The research methodology is a Web-based survey using a questionnaire for the NIU MBA students. The results indicate that the students maintain a neutral attitude about the implementation of E-Commerce program in the MBA curriculum at NIU. In conclusion, the students remain neutral about the implementation of these programs. They prefer to take the traditional offered MBA programs at Northern Illinois University.
