Women in Business: A Comparison of European and American Cultures

The purpose of this thesis paper is to compare the different aspects of business culture between Europe and the United States, as related to women. Focusing on several key areas, including entrepreneurship, education and socioeconomics, and the overall business environment, the paper examines the differences between the two cultures and then determines which areas is best suited for women to practice business currently and in the future. By conducting research thoroughly online, traveling to Europe to speak with business people, and speaking with business people from the United States, the findings of the thesis were clear. Because of the extensive number of advances that have already taken place in the U.S., women currently will find success here as opposed to Europe. However, the growth potential is significant for increased success and achievements of European women in the future.
